2016-29256 Reso RESOLUTION NO. 2016-29256 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE AGREEMENT APPROVED BY THE CITY MANAGER WITH OPENGOV, INC., FOR THE CITY'S INTERACTIVE TRANSPARENCY PORTAL, FOR A TERM OF FIVE (5) YEARS, AT A TOTAL COST OF $124,875. WHEREAS, in June 2015, the City launched OpenGov, an interactive financial transparency portal, which provides City officials and residents with unprecedented access to the City's fiscal information; and WHEREAS, the OpenGov transparency portal provides online access to the City's budget by interactively displaying current and historic revenue and expenses down to the fund, department, and object code level, all of which provide for a better understanding of how taxpayer money is allocated; and WHEREAS, in order to expedite implementation of the OpenGov transparency portal, the Agreement with OpenGov was approved by the City Manager on November 11, 2014 for a term of five (5) twelve-month periods, billed annually in the amount of $24,975.00, for a total cost of$124,875; and WHEREAS, the Agreement provides that either party may terminate the Agreement at the end of each year of the Term by providing the other party with thirty (30) days written notice. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission ratify the Agreement with OpenGov, Inc. for the City's interactive transparency portal, for a term of five (5) years, at a total cost of$124,875. In order to expedite implementation of the transparency portal, the Agreement with OpenGov was approved by the City Manager on November 11, 2014. The Agreement has a term of five (5),twelve(12)month periods, billed annually in the amount of$24,975.00.The purpose of this item is to seek the City Commission's ratification of the Agreement for subsequent years. CONCLUSION The Administration recommends that the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, approve the resolution ratifying the Agreement with OpenGov for the City's interactive transparency portal.
