SUBJECT: Lobbyist Fee Expenditure and Compensation Statement
Dear Charles Herring:
Pursuant to City Code Section 2-485, entitled "List of expenditures; fee disclosure; reporting requirements,”
all lobbyists subject to lobbyists registration requirements shall submit to the City Clerk by February 28th of each
year, a signed Lobbyist Fee Expenditure and Compensation Statement, under oath, listing all lobbying
expenditures and compensation received for each issue engaged for the period of 01/01/2015 through
12/31/2015. The information shall be provided on the Statement(s) attached. A Statement shall be filed even if
there have been no expenditures or compensation during the reported period. If you are an inactive lobbyist
and still have open issues, please complete the Lobbyist Fee Expenditure and Compensation Statement
and withdraw the issue. Please note that if you are inactive you are not permitted to do any type of
lobbying activity.
Pursuant to Section 2-485 (d), in addition to any other penalties that may be imposed as provided in Section 2-
485.1, a fine of$50.00 a day shall be assessed for all Statement(s)filed after February 29, 2016. The City Clerk
shall notify the Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust of the failure of a lobbyist (or
principal)to file the Statement or pay the assessed fines after notification.
Any lobbyist, who fails to file the required Statement by April 30, 2016, shall be automatically suspended from
lobbying until all fines are paid, unless the fine has been appealed to the Miami-Dade County Commission on
Ethics and Public Trust.
If you are no longer engaged on an issue, please complete the enclosed Statement(s)and check the box advising
you no longer represent the principal. If you need additional information regarding this matter, please do not
hesitate to contact this office.
