The Committee for Quality Education would like you to be aware of the following motions requesting
support to for a culinary program at Miami Beach Senior High School and a review of security
allocations at Miami Beach public schools, approved at the May 24, 2016 committee meeting.

Motion Text:
The Committee for Quality Education requests that the Miami Beach Mayor and Commission
support the implementation of a sustainable culinary program at Miami Beach Senior High School
and further requests that Miami-Dade County Public Schools fund a teacher for the program and
develop a long-term relationship with Miami Beach Senior High School.
The Committee for Quality Education urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above
request.

The Committee for Quality Education requests that the Miami Beach Mayor and Commission ask
Miami-Dade County Public Schools to review security allocation needs of Miami Beach Senior High
School based on other criteria (other being not incidence), such as student population as well as size
of campus.
The Committee for Quality Education urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request.
