In follow up to our conversation, my employer,Winter Music Conference paid to register me as a lobbyist in November 2015 in order to present their grant application for the Visitor and Convention Authority on January 21, 2016. This Tuesday,January 5, 2016 I had the honor of being appointed by Mayor Levine to serve on the Steering Committee for the North Beach Master Plan. I was just advised by city attorney, Nick Kallergis,that I will need to withdraw my lobbyist registration immediately in order to serve on this committee. Therefore I write to humbly ask if the city would waive or transfer the $850 registration fee already paid by my employer so that an alternate employee, Margo Possenti, can register to present the WMC VCA grant application on January 21st without having to pay the $850 fee twice.
