DATE: September 6, 2016
SUBJECT: Police Athletic League Youth Footb I League
The Police Athletic League is pleased to announce the return of the youth football
league! With a rich history that dates back to 1958, Dolphin Youth Football has officially
kicked off its fall season, which runs through mid-October. Officer Art Martineau is
spearheading the effort and will serve as the program commissioner.
The football teams include 50 children, divided into four age brackets: 4-5 year olds, 7
and under, 9 and under, and 11 and under. Additionally, PAL is sponsoring a cheer
program which currently has 20 members. The cheerleaders will be on hand at all PAL
football games to support the Dolphins.
Participants in the football and cheer programs represent children from the Miami and
Miami Beach communities. No child is turned away for financial reasons as the PAL
covers the cost of all equipment and uniforms.
Bring the whole family and help us cheer on the Dolphins at one of the upcoming games
and help us celebrate the return of youth football to the Miami Beach community!
