Dear Honorable Mayor and City Commission:
On February 13`h, the Transportation, Parking & Bicycle -Pedestrian Facilities
Committee (TPBPFC) met and unanimously passed the below motions:
Offer Miami Beach as A Pilot City for Uber Self -Driving Cars
The TPBPFC asks to place a hold on this issue; City staff to reach out to Uber to
see if they are interested and if so, invite Uber representatives to the next
Committee meeting on March 6th
Private Parking Facilities Posted Rates
The TPBPFC asks that City go forward with an ordinance regulating private
parking facilities to post their parking rates, hours, types of payments accepted;
signage to be placed at entrance and be visible from the street.
Recommended Traffic Calming Improvements in the Central Bayshore
Neighborhood
The TPBPFC does not support speed humps/speed tables on any Miami Beach
road and are opposed to reducing the speed limit on Royal Palm Avenue.
As an advisory Committee, we would greatly appreciate your consideration on
these motions.
Sincerely,
Transportation, Parking & Bicycle -Pedestrian Facilities Committee
