Brooks, Assistant City Manager Mark Taxis, Assistant City Manager Eric Carpenter, Assistant City Manager Susanne Torriente, Assistant City Manager Saul Frances, Parking Director Monica Beltran, Assistant Parking Director Jose Gonzalez, Transportation Director Alfred Feola, Chairman Members: Leif Bertrand Ray Breslin Marc Edelstein Alan Fishman Del Fruit William Hahne Sari Libbin JP Morgan Madeleine Romanello Deborah Ruggiero Richard Streim TO: Mayor Philip Levine and Members of the City Commission FROM: Transportation, Parking & Bicycle -Pedestrian Facilities Committee DATE: February 14, 2017 SUBJECT: Motions Members Present: Leif Bertrand; Ray Breslin; Sari Libbin; Alfred Feola; JP Morgan; Alan Fishman; Deborah Ruggiero; Madeleine Romanello; Richard Streim; and Del Fruit Members Absent: William Hahne and Marc Edelstein Dear Honorable Mayor and City Commission: On February 13`h, the Transportation, Parking & Bicycle -Pedestrian Facilities Committee (TPBPFC) met and unanimously passed the below motions: Offer Miami Beach as A Pilot City for Uber Self -Driving Cars The TPBPFC asks to place a hold on this issue; City staff to reach out to Uber to see if they are interested and if so, invite Uber representatives to the next Committee meeting on March 6th Private Parking Facilities Posted Rates The TPBPFC asks that City go forward with an ordinance regulating private parking facilities to post their parking rates, hours, types of payments accepted; signage to be placed at entrance and be visible from the street. Recommended Traffic Calming Improvements in the Central Bayshore Neighborhood The TPBPFC does not support speed humps/speed tables on any Miami Beach road and are opposed to reducing the speed limit on Royal Palm Avenue.
