The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) i to inform the Mayor and Commission of the three motions
passed by the Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board at its meeting of April 5, 2017:
LETTER TO COMMISSION
MOTION 1:
The Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board motions for the City to allocate a piece of land that would
be leased by the Sabrina Cohen Foundation to construct a building of approximately 10,000 square feet with
two levels to build and operate an adaptive recreation center on 53rd Street and Collins Avenue.

MOTION 2:
The Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board motions the following regarding the former Par 3 /Future
Community Park: In the best interest of the City, the Board feels that it would be appropriate and beneficial after
having seen the latest design presentation, to request a completely different point of view from another
independent Landscaping and Recreation consulting firm to be able to analyze other alternatives to what was
presented, taking a fresh new look at this park.

actually a requirement for the former Par 3 /Future Community Park or if it can be designed without such a
significant lake.
