AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 289
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA. "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Sub-Section 3e of Section 17 of Ordinance No. 289,
commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida", be and the same is hereby amended by
adding the following at the end of the first paragraph of said
Sub-Section:
" . . . .provided, however, that such marquees may
be increased in size beyond the projection of
20 feet square in a horizontal plane to a
maximum of 30 feet x 50 feet parallel to the
street or front yard of the building; provided
that a 20 foot distance be maintained from the
side yard lot lines to such marquees; and pro-
vided further that the applicable side yards
distances must be maintained from the street
or front yard lot lines parallel to such
marquees. "
"Provided
further ,. however, that such alternative per-
missible marquee shall have a minimum height
of 10 feet bet.-d` a:a the surface of the driveway
and the underside of such marquee; and a max-
imum height above the driveway of 18 feet; and
a maximum height above grade of 24 feet. "
SECTION 2: That all ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 : That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passing and posting as required by law.

remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in
accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
said City of Pliami Beach.
