ORDINANCE NO. 1494
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO COMPENSATION
PAYABLE TO EMPLOYEES IN THE CLASSIFIED
SERVICE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That on and after the 1st day of October, 1963,
the rate of compensation payable to each employee
in the Classified Service of the City as set forth in Ordinance
No. 1491 shall be increased by an amount equal to five (5%)
percent of the amount payable to each such employee thereunder;
the total amount of compensation to be rounded off to the
nearest even dollar; an amount ending in an uneven dollar to
be increased by one dollar.
SECTION 2: All ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3 : This ordinance shall go into effect on the 1st
day of October, 1963 .

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in
three conspicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one
of which was at the door of the City Hall in said City on
the 16th day of October, A,D. 19 63 , and that said
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty
days in accordance with the requirements of the City
Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
