AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE INTEN-
TION OF SAID CITY COUNCIL TO ANNEX TO SAID
CITY AT THE EXPIRATION OF THIRTY DAYS FROM THE
APPROVAL OF nib ORDINANCE THE FeLLMING DE-
SCRIBED TRACT CF LAND, PRCVIDING FOR THE POST-
ING OF THIS NOTICE IN ACCORD WITH LAW AND DE-
TERMINING THAT SAID TRACT OF LAND PROPOSED TO
BE ANNEXED CONTAINS LESS THAN TEN REGISTERED
VOTERS, THE FOLLOWING BEING THE DESCRIPTION
OF SAID LAND, ALL OF VHICH IS LOCATED WITHIN
DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THE SAME COUNTY WITHIN
WHICH THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, IS
WHOLLY LOCATED:
Beginning in Dade County, Florida, at a point
fifteen hundred feet East of eastern terminus
of the northern shore of the government cut
(as now surveyed, established and constructed
extending from the Atlantic Ocean to the waters
of Biscayne Bay) and from said point of beginning
run Test tip the northern boundary If said govern-
ment ent; thence in a westerly direction, meander-
ing the low water mart of the northern shore of said
government cut to the western terminus thereof;
thence due west on a line parallelto the south
line of Sections 3 and 4 of Township 54 south of
Range 42 East to a point in Biscayne Bay 508.85 feet
south and 13015.6 feetwest of the southeast corner
of the soutwest quarter of said Section 3; thence
southerly along the eastern boundary line of the
City of Miami, Florida,and said line projected
south to a point on a line running due east and
touching the low water mark on the north side of
Bear's Cut in the most southern -most point of Vir-
ginia Key; thence run east 1500 feet east of the
low water mark of the Atlantic Ocean on the e'Lst
side of Virginia Ke'; thence north and 1500
feet east of the low water mark of the Atlantic
Ocean to the place of beginning, together with
all islands, sand -bars and submerged lands,ly-
ing between the eastern line of the above described
land and the western line thereof.
VIIEREAS the tract of land described in the ordinance set
forth hereinafter contains less than ten registered voters and said
tract of land is contiguous to the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
and it is expedient and to the best interest of said City and to
the owners of said contiguous tract of land that said tract of
land be annexed to and be made a part of the City of Miami Beach,

Florida, the better to enable the City Council of said City
to procure lights, water, police protection and other municipal.
conveniences for the inhabitants and future inhabitants of said
tract of land, to promote and encourage the laying out of land
in said tract in an orderly way so that avenues, streets and
alleys will correspond with each other to the covenience of the
public; that sanitary measures may be promulgated andinforced
and the harbors and landing places in and about said land better
protected, all for the wellfare and convenience of the inhabitants
now or hereafter residing on said tract of land.
NOVi BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Ci `2Y CODICIL CF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEnCH , FLORIDA:
SECTION 1.
That the said City Council does nereby declare its
intention to annex to the City of Miami Beach, Florida, at the
expiration of thirty days from the approval of this ordinance
the following described tract of land, all of which is located.
within Dade County, Florida, the same county within •.;hick the
City of Miami Beac - , Flor ida, is wholly located:
beginning in Dade County, Florida, at a point

of the northern shore of the government cut

SECTION 2.
That a printed copy of this ordinance, when approved by
the Mayor of the City of Uiami Beach, ilorida, be posted in
three conspicuous places in the City of Hiami Beach, Vlorida,
and in three conspicuous places in the district or tract of
land above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of
Miami Beach, 21orida, for four consecutive weeks.
SECTION 3.
That said. City Council does hereby determine that the
said tract of land proposed to be annexed to said. City contains
less than ten registered voters and does hereby set forth its
intention to provide, procure or cause to be provided and to
do the things for the welfare and protection of the inhabitants
now or hereafter residing on said tract of land as set forth
in the preface of this ordinance.
SECTION 4.
That said. City Council does hereby determine and declare
that no newspaper is published in the said. Citi of Miami Beach,
Florida.

I, C. W. TOMLINSON, City Clerk in and
for the City of Miami Beach, Florida, do hereby certify
that Ordinance No. 219 annexing a certain described tract
of land to said City, having been duly passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, has been
posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of
Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall
in said City and, in three conspicuous places in the district
or tract of land annexed to the City of lViiarni Beach, on the
15th day of April, 1925, and the said Ordinance remained
posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance
with the requirements of the City Charter of the said. City
of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
