AN ORDINANCE A��IEN7ING CHAPTE�Z 2
OF "THE CODE OF THE C ITY OF i�IIA1�tI
BEACH, FLOi2IDA" .
BE IT OR��AINED BY THE CITY COtJNCIL OF THE CITY OF T�IAT�I BEACH,
FLORIDA o
SECTION 1 Th�t Section 2 0 52 (d )(1) of Chapter 2 0� "The Code of
the City of i�tiami B �ach, FLorida" r�ading as follows :
"All hospitalization, medical and surgical
bene�its as p�cescribed for all regular e�nployees
of the city participating in the city employees'
benefit plan shall continue to be furnished
to such employees, retirants, pensioners and
dependents age sixty-five and over, except
that such coverage shall be limited to the
difference between the benefits allowable
through i�ed icare , Parts A and B, and the
maxi�num benefits payable under the then current
city employees' benefit plan."

" Eighty percent (8�%} of the remaining balance
of costs �or hospitali�ation, ?nedical and
surgical serviGe aiier E�Iedieare payments, up
to the max imum contract 1 imi�ts of 1 iab il ity
as prescribed for all regular employees
participating in the city e�nployee's benefit
plan shall continue to be furnished to such
e�nployees, retirants, pensianers and dependents
age s ixty-f ive and over ."
SECTION 2 That that portion o� Section 2.55 (b� of "The Code of
the City of l�ia�ni Br:ach, Florida" reading as follows :
"City. The contribu�ion of the city on behalf
of the members shall be one-half of the cost
of the ben�fits provided fo� in the agreements
as such costs are determined by the board,
but not to exceed fifty�-seven dollars per year
for an agr�ement covering a me�e= only, nor
to exceed one hundred sixty dollars per year
for agreements covering a member and his familyo.e"
be and the same is hereby arnended to read as follows:

S ECTION 3 That all ordinances or parts of ord inances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4 The health and welfare of the City being in peril, the
~ three readings o� this ordinance shall be had in one
s es s ion, and the City Counc i 1 f ind ing that this ord inance is
necessary ror the immediate protection of its citizens, it shall
therefore go into effect or� January 1, Z969. �
