ORDINANCE NO. , � 773
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 289,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "ZONING ORDINANC:E
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA :
SECTION 1: That Section 16-B, Sub-paragraph III (I ) of
Ordinance No. 289, be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows :
"SCREENING. When off-street parking areas for ten (10)
or more automobiles are located closer than fifty (50)
feet to a lot in a residential district, or to any
lot upon which there is a dwelling as a permitted use,
under this ordinance and where such parking areas are
not entirely screened visually from such lot by an
intervening building or structure, there shall be
provided along the lot line a continuous vision barrier
screen with a minimum height of five (5) feet. All
off -street parking areas for ten (10) or more automobiles
must provide along those property lines abutting on
any street, but not on an alley-way, and exclusive of
driveways, a continuous vision barrier screen with a
minimum height of f ive (5) feet. Such screen may
consist of a compact evergreen hedge or foliage screening
or a wall or fence."
SECTIOL�j 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by law.
