AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 289,
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE "ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA."
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that portion of Section 1 of Ordinance No.
289, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, reading as
follows:
"SELF-SERVICE LAUNDRY: A business establishment
with customer operated automatic washing machines
having a capacity per unit not exceeding ten (10)
pounds of dry clothing."
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SELF-SERVICE LAUNDRY: A business establishment
with customer operated automatic washing machines
having a capacity per unit not exceeding twenty-
five (25) pounds of dry clothing."
SECTION 2. That paragraph17 of Section 8 of said Ordinance
No. 289, be and the same is hereby amended by
adding an additional paragraph thereto, to be
numbered and to read as follows:
"(4) Customer operated automatic washing
machines shall have a capacity per
unit not exceeding twenty-five (25) pounds
of dry clothing."
SECTION 3. That all ordinances of parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
Attest:
That this ordinances shall go into effect
immediately upon its passage and posting as
required by law.

Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door
of the City Hall in said City on the 2nd

April, 1970,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
