Dear Honorable Mayor and City Commission:
On June 12th, the Transportation, Parking & Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities
Committee (TPBPFC) met and wishes to supplement LTC #274-2017, with the
below unanimously passed motions from their meeting on May 8, 2017:
Taxicab Stands
The TPBPFC recommends the reduction of taxicab stands from three {3) to one
(1) at the 100 block of 74th Street.
Supplemental: The TPBPF Committee recommends accepting the Parking
Department's recommendation of 18 parking spaces to be reclaimed from
taxicab stands.
Trolley-Venetian Link
The TPBPFC recommends for a stop at Omni.
Supplemental: The TPBPF Committee recommends having a separate trolley
route that connects Miami Beach, goes across the Venetian, with an ending
point at Omni and returns to Miami Beach.
As an advisory Committee, we would greatly appreciate your consideration on
these motions.
Sincerely,
Transportation, Parking & Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities Committee
