AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE CARRYING
ON OF ANY BUSINESS IN ANY STREET OR ALLEY,
OR PART THEREOF, WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE
OWNER WHOSE PROPERTY ABUTS ON THE STREET OR
ALLEY, EXCEPT IN A DESIGNATE]) ZONE, AND PRO-
VIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That on and after the passage
of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation to carry on any business of any
nature whatsoever in the streets or alleys of the City
of Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida, without the con-
sent of theowner whose property abuts on the street
or alley, unless such business be conducted in a place
or part of the street or alley designated by police
order.
Section 2. That any and all persons, firms,
or corporations violating the terms of this ordinance
shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not to ex-
ceed Two Hundred Dollars ( 200.00) , or imprisonment for
not more than sixty (600 days, or both, at the discretion
of the Municipal Judge.

City of Miami Beach, Florida, do hereby certify that Ordinance
No. 255, entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE CARRYING ON OF
ANY BUSINESS IN ANY STREET OR ALLEY, OR PART THEREOF, WITHOUT
THE CONSENT OF THE OWNER WHOSE PROPERTY ABUTS ON THE STREET OR
ALLEY, EXCEPT IN A DESIGNATED ZONE, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY
FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF", having been duly passed and adop—
ted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, has been
posted by me in three conspicuous places in the city of Miami
Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall in said
City on the 22nd day of March, A. D., 1928, and that said
ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days
in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the
said City of Miami Beach.
