AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 55 OF ORDINANCE NO.
271 AS PASSED AND ADOPTED BY SAID CITY
COUNCIL ON MARCH 6th, 1929.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 55 of Ordinance No. 271, as passed
and adopted by said City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, on March 6th, 1929, and as
later amended, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
°SECTION 55: PENALTIES AND PROCEDURE'= ON ARREST. Any
person who shall violate or fail to corn -
ply with any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not less than Five
($5.00) Dollars nor more than One Thousand (*1,000.00) Dol-
lars, or be imprisoned for not more than ninety (90) days,
with or without hard labor, or both in the discretion of
the Court."
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parte of ordinances in conflict
herewith or inconsistent with the provisions of
this ordinance, are hereby repealed, except that
this repeal shall not affect or prevent the prosecution or pun-
ishment of any person for any act done or committed in violation
of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking effect of
this ordinance.

certify that Ordinance No. 429 entitled "AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 55 OF ORDINANCE NO. 271 AS PASSED AND
ADOPTED BY SAID CITY COUNCIL ON MARCH 6TH, 1929", having
been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three con-
spicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which
was at the door of the City Hall in said City on the
4th day of June, A. D., 1936, and that said Ordinance
remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in
accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of
the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set

Miami Beach, Florida, on this the 14th day of July, A. D.,
