12995 RESOLUTION NO. 12995
WHEREAS HARRY HOOD BASSETT, a citizen of the
City of Miami Beach, has displayed magnanimous civic
interests and good faith by permitting the use of his
own boat, which is of considerable value, to the Miami
Beach Police Department, and
WHEREAS the use of Mr. Bassett' s boat has been
a tremendous aid to the Miami Beach Police Department,
the City and its residents, by means of providing a
patrolling vessel for the purpose of protecting the
properties and the citizens of the City of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it express, on
behalf of itself, the Miami Beach Police Department and
the residents and citizens of said City, its appreciation
and great indebtedness to HARRY HOOD BASSETT for his
outstanding cooperation and immeasurable contribution to
the well being of the City of Miami Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a duly certified copy
of this Resolution be transmitted to HARRY HOOD BASSETT as
an expression of the appreciation of the City of Miami
Beach, its residents and citizens .
The adoption of the foregoing Resolution was moved
by Councilman D. Lee Powell.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of April, 1970.
