A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
12650 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, ENTITLED "A RESOLUTION
PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF $12, 000, 000
EXCISE TAX BONDS, SERIES 1969, OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, PROVIDING FOR THE
SATE, SECURITY AND PAYMENT THEREOF AND
MAKING CERTAIN CONVENANTS AND AGREEMENTS
IN THAT CONNECTION. "
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that Section 2 . 01 of Resolution No. 12650
be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows :
"2 . 01. AUTHORIZATION AND TERMS OF BONDS . That
for the purpose of defraying the cost of construction
of said improvements and extensions to the Convention
Hall and the construction of a Theatre of Performing
Arts, all as referred to and described hereinabove,
that there be issued and sold excise tax bonds of
said City to be designated 'EXCISE TAX BONDS SERIES
1969, ' in the principal amount of $12, 000, 000,
which bonds shall bear interest at a rate or rates
not exceeding the maximum rate permitted by law,
payable on October 1, 1969 and semi-annually there-
after, and shall mature serially in numerical order
on April 1 of each of the years as follows :

Both principal and interest of said Bonds shall be
payable in lawful money of the United States of
America at Chemical Bank, New York, New York, and
shall be callable for redemption as shall hereafter
be determined by resolution adopted by the City
Council.

"A notice of such prior redemption shall in
each case be published at least once at least
thirty days prior to the date of redemption in
a newspaper or financial journal published in
the City of New York, New York. Interest shall
cease on any Bonds so called for prior redemption
on the redemption date if adequate funds have been
duly provided for the redemption thereof. "
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Attorney be, and he is
authorized and directed by appropriate legal proceedings in
the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of the
State of Florida in and for Dade County, to move for and
obtain such appropriate amendatory judgment and order nunc
pro tunc amending the final judgment and record of said
Court to conform to the authorized rate of interest change
and revised dates of maturity, as hereinabove set forth.
