13284 RESOLUTION NO. 13284
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA entered
into a Lease Agreement with CONCERTS WEST, dated January 7,
1971, for Elton Joth concert on May 30, 1971 in the Miami
Beach Auditorium, and
WHEREAS, CONCERTS WEST has released the date of
May 30, 1971 in the Miami Beach Auditorium and has requested
the date of May 29, 1971 in the Miami Beach Convention Hall
for Elton John concert, and
WHEREAS, the requested new date is open and
available in the Miami Beach Convention Hall, and no loss
to the City of rental is involved in the requested change
of date, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the
existing Agreement shall remain the same except the payments,
which read as follows :
MINIMUM GUARANTEE - $1, 000. 00 OR 12%
An additional deposit of $150. 00 to
be paid on signing of this amendment;
$500. 00 by 5 :00 p.m. , May 29, 1971
and any balance due payable by 10 :00
p.m. , Saturday, May 29, 1971.
Box Office Charges - $100. 00 which includes
one person for a maximum of ten days prior
to performance for supervisory purposes only
(supervisor does not sell tickets) ,
and
WHEREAS, a letter, signed by the Acting Manager
of the Auditorium and Convention Hall, dated April 20, 1971,
amending the existing Agreement between CONCERTS WEST and
the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH has been mailed to and accepted by
CONCERTS WEST;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the letter
dated April 20, 1971, signed by the Acting Manager of the
Auditorium and Convention Hall, amending the existing Agreement
between CONCERTS WEST and the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH be and the
same is hereby accepted and approved in the name of and on
behalf of said City.
