RESOLUTION NO. 13391B
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be necessary for the welfare of said
City and the inhabitants thereof to acquire for the purpose
of providing off-street parking of automobiles, the following
described parcel of land situate, lying and being in Miami
Beach, Dade County, Florida, to wit:
(Parcel No. 2) Lots 13, 14 and 15,
Block 45 , ALTON BEACH REALTY COMPANY
SUBDIVISION OF THE WEST HALF OF
BLOCKS 17-40 AND 45, according to the
Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 6
at page 165 of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it is
necessary that the fee simple title to the above described
real estate be acquired for the use and maintenance for
off-street parking of automobiles for the benefit of said
City and its inhabitants.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to employ a duly
qualified person or persons to appraise the value of said
parcel of real estate and that the said City Manager is
hereby authorized to negotiate for the purchase of the said
parcel of land following the receipt of an appropriate
appraisal .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event such
negotiation for such purchase is unsuccessful , the City
Attorney be and he is then duly authorized and directed
to institute the necessary legal proceedings in the name of
the City in the exercise of its right of eminent domain for
the condemnation of said property for said purpose.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15t. day of September, 1971.
