13413 RESOLUTION NO. 13413
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the
City of Miami Beach, its residents and inhabitants, to enter
into a lease with Drexel School, Inc. by Dr. Gustave L. Drexel,
President, for the lease of the premises in the City of Miami
Beach known as 3602 Collins Avenue, for use of the said
premises for a proper municipal purpose, to wit, an educational
and allied program designed to combat the use of drugs by
persons of youthful years and who would be otherwise unfamiliar
and untutored in the dangers inherent in the use thereof, and
WHEREAS, a lease agreement for said premises has
been prepared, which lease has been approved as to form and
as to proper municipal purpose by the City Attorney, which
lease provides for a term of one (1) year at an annual rental
of $9, 000.00 with an option on the part of the City to renew
said lease for an additional term of two (2) years and other
provisions with which the City Council is familiar.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute
and deliver said lease and the proper financial officers of
the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
make the payments of rental under the terms of said lease as
the same accrue and become due and payable.
