13466 RESOLUTION NO. 13466
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, entered
into a Lease Agreement with Royal Lipizzan Stallion Show,
Inc. , dated June 21, 1971, and
WHEREAS, there has been a change in the name of
the lessee from Royal Lipizzan Stallion Show, Inc. to Dowd
Associates, which name should reflect as such in the above mentioned
contract for its Horse Show on January 5, 1972 to January
9, 1972, and
WHEREAS, the lessee has requested the date of
January 6, 1972 be changed from show day to move in, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the
existing agreement shall remain the same except payments,
to read as follows :
"$3, 450. 00 minimum guarantee for four (4)
performances described in the contract.
Lessor has the privilege of accepting the
minimum guarantee or 12% of the gross
receipts, after taxes, whichever sum is
greater for each day.
$1, 000.00 deposit being held in escrow for
Royal Lipizzan Stallion Show, Inc. to be
transferred to Dowd Associates; $2,450. 00
by 1 :00 P.M. Wednesday, January 5, 1972; and
balance on or before 7 :00 P.M. Sunday,
January 9, 1972, "
and
WHEREAS, a letter signed by the Acting Manager of
the Auditorium and Convention Hall, dated November 3, 1971,
amending the existing Agreement between Royal Lipizzan
Stallion Show, Inc. and the City of Miami Beach has been mailed
to and accepted by Royal Lipizzan Stallion Show, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the letter
dated November 3, 1971, signed by the Acting Manager of the
Auditorium and Convention Hall, amending the existing agreement
between Royal Lipizzan Stallion Show, Inc. and the City of
Miami Beach be and the same is hereby accepted and approved in
the name of and on behalf of said City.
