OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH TO PROHIBIT
WITHIN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER
STRUCTURES AND THE USE AND OPERATION OF
CERTAIN MACHINERY DURING CERTAIN HOURS
ON SECULAR AND BTJSINESS DAYS, AND UPON
THE SABBATH, AND DECLARING THE SAME T 0
BE PUBLIC NUISANCES AND PRESCRIBING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That ordinance No. 426 of the City of Miami
SECTION 1: Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby
amended by inserting immediately after
Section 1 thereof, the following:
"SECTION 1—A: That during that period commencing December
15th and ending March 15th, commonly known
as the Winter Season, it shall be unlawful
to engage in any of the activities described in Section
1 of this ordinance before the hour of nine (9) o'clock
A. M., and after the hour of five & clock P. M. "

All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
SECTION 2: conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an
SECTION 3: emergency measure on the ground of urgent
public need for the preservation of peace,
health, safety and property, and shall become effective from
its passage and approval as such.

No. 468 entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 426 OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH TO PROHIBIT WITHIN THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUC-
TURES AND THE USE AND OPERATION OF CERTAIN MACHINERY DURING
CERTAIN HOURS ON SECULAR AND BUSINESS DAYS, AND UPON THE SABBATH,
AND DECLARING THE SAME TO BE PUBLIC NUISANCES AND PRESCRIBING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE",
having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three con-
spicuous places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at
the door of the City Hall in said City on the 2nd day of January,
A. D., 1937, and that said ordinance remianed posted for a period
of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of
the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
on this the 4th day of February, A. D., 1937.
