A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
CALLING AN ELECTION AT WHICH THERE
SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO A VOTE THE
MATTER OF ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF SAID
CITY IN THE SUM OF $18, 163,000 FOR
THE PURPOSE STATED IN THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it advisable to issue bonds of said City in the
amount and for the municipal purpose set forth in the election
notice provided for in Section 6 of the following resolution,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 . That, subject to the authorization of the duly
registered and qualified voters of said City
participating in the election according to law, which is herein-
after called, negotiable coupon bonds of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, shall be issued in the sums and for the purpose stated
in the Notice of Election provided in. Section 6 of this resolution.
SECTION 2 . That a special election is hereby called and di-
rected to be held in the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, from 7 :00 o ' clock A.M. until 7 :00 o' clock P.M. on. the
14th day of March, 1972, for the purpose of submitting to a vote
of the duly registered and qualified voters of said City the
question whether bonds of said City shall be issued in the sum
and for the purpose stated in the Notice of Election provided for
in Section 6 of this resolution.
SECTION 3 . That the Metropolitan Dade County Supervisor of
Registration, who is also the Supervisor of
Registration for the City of Miami Beach, shall open his regis-
tration books, during the hours prescribed by law, for the purpose
of registering those electors of the City of Miami Beach who are
qualified to register for this election, from February 2, 1972, to
February 12, 1972, and that after said February 12, 1972, no elector
shall be registered for said election.
SECTION 4. For the purpose of holding and conducting said
election, the City of Miami Beach has been divided
into voting precincts or election districts with polling places
therein, as follows :
PRECINCT NO. 58: Biscayne Elementary School, 800 77th Street.
PRECINCT NO. 59 : North Shore Park Teen Center, corner of Byron
Avenue and 72nd Street.
PRECINCT NO. 60 : Normandy Isle Municipal Pool, 7030 Trouville

pality.
All electors shall vote at the polling places in the voting pre-
cincts in which the County Registration Books show that said
electors reside.
SECTION 5. That thirty days ' notice of said election shall be
given by publication in the Miami Beach Daily Sun
Reporter, a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City
of Miami Beach, Florida. Such publication shall be made at least
once each week for four consecutive weeks during said period of
thirty days .

SECTION 6. That the Notice of Election shall be substan-

SECTION 8. That a special annual tax upon all taxable
property within the City of Miami Beach, over
and above all other taxes authorized or limited by law, or by
the Charter of the City, sufficient to pay the interest and the
principal of the bonds hereby authorized, at their several dates
of maturity, shall be and is hereby levied.
SECTION 9. That the proceeds of the special annual tax
hereby provided for shall be used for no other
purpose than the payment of principal and interest of the bonds
hereby authorized, at their several dates of maturity, and any
balance collected at any time from such special annual tax after
the payment of principal and interest upon the bonds hereby au-
thorized shall be deposited in the local improvement bond fund.
SECTION 10. That this resolution shall be effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption as required by law.
