13528 • RESOLUTION NO. 13528 A RESOLUTION APPROVING APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM METERED PARKING SYSTEM BOND FUNDS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF PARKING AREAS ON EAST SIDE OF MERIDIAN AVENUE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that, pursuant to Council Memorandum No. 3356 , dated January 14 , 1972, there is hereby authorized an appropriation of $7 , 250 . 00 from the Parking Meter Revenue Bond Fund for the purpose of improving that certain parking lot set forth in said Council Memorandum, and an additional $28 ,536 . 98 appropriation from the Parking Meter Revenue Bond Fund is authorized to reimburse the General Fund expenditure for lots previously constructed, all as set forth in said Council Memorandum No. 3356 , a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set forth in haec verba. O'KEY 1130 WASHINGTON AVENUE TELEPHONE: 534-7511 CITY MANAGER COUNCIL MEMORANDUM NO. 3115` TO: City Council January 14, 1972 FROM: City Manager SUBJECT : Development of Temporary Parking Areas on the East Side of Meridian Avenue, 17th to 19th Streets The City-owned lots east of Meridian Avenue from 17th to 19th Streets were developed as temporary parking areas for the GOP National Con- vention with the exception of the lot at 1777 Meridian Avenue which was in litigation. The City Council at its meeting of November 17 , 1971 awarded the contract to demolish the building on the remaining lot . This lot is required for parking during the Democratic National Convention and the development is estimated to cost $7 , 250.00. The development of the other lots was accomplished at a cost of $28 ,536 . 98 ; this expenditure was charged to the General Fund with the intention that it be reimbursed after all the lots have been improved. Based on the above the Administration recommends that Council authorize the improvement of this additional lot as a temporary parking area, and that $7 ,250. 00 be appropriated from the Parking Meter Revenue Bond Fund for this purpose , and an additional $28 ,536 . 98 be appropriated from the Parking Meter Revenue Bond Fund to reimburse the General Fund expenditure . for lots previously constructed.
