13541 RESOLUTION No. 13541
WHEREAS, the citizens of Miami Beach were deeply shocked and outraged by
the wanton murder of a young man and the brutal assault upon a young lady last
Christmas Eve, and;
WHEREAS, all citizens of this community are united in their desire to see
the perpetrators of these heinous crimes apprehended and punished, and;
WHEREAS, the law enforcement authorities of Dade County are convinced that
persons having important information have not yet come forward, and;
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Daily Sun-Reporter, through its energetic and
public-spirited publisher, Paul M. Bruun, has spearheaded a community-wide drive
to raise Ten Thousand Dollars as a reward for the arrest and conviction of the
guilty parties, and;
WHEREAS, scores of Miami Beach residents have generously and selflessly
contributed to this fund, and;
WHEREAS, through the personal efforts of Paul M. Bruun and other civic-minded
persons, this fund has been exceeded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Miami Beach, Florida,
extendson behalf of the entire community its sincere thanks and appreciation to
Paul M. Bruun and all of those who have contributed to the reward fund . . . and
that this resolution be spread upon the official minutes of the City Council and
a suitably inscribed copy presented to Paul M. Bruun as a token of our gratitude.
