13636 RESOLUTION NO. 13636
WHEREAS , the City Manager and the Dade County School
Board have concluded negotiations for the entry into a pro-
posed Agreement for the use of a number of school buses (not
exceeding eighteen) for use in transporting law enforcement
officers during the periods of the Democratic and Republican
National Conventions , and
WHEREAS, a suitable form of Agreement has been prepared
setting forth the terms and conditions thereof, with which the
City Council is familiar,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be
and he is hereby authorized to make such formal changes in
said proposed Agreement as may be necessary to procure the
consent of the Dade County School Board to said proposed Agree-
ment, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council , City of Miami
Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized to execute and deliver said Agreement, inclu-
sive of any formal changes authorized hereby; and the proper
financial officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized
to make the financial expenditures required by and under said
Agreement from funds available for said purposes.
