13684 RESOLUTION NO. 13684
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, adopted on February 2, 1972, Resolution
No. 13519 authorizing the issuance of General Obligation
Bonds including, among others, Series 7, "Civic Center
Complex Roadways and Landscaping Bonds 1970" , and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted on March 15,
1972, Resolution No. 13574 authorizing the issuance of
General Obligation Bonds including among others, the
following:
Series 4, " 1972 Park Improvement Bonds"
Series 6, " 1972 Street and Bridge Improvement
Bonds"
Series 7, " 1972 Water Improvement Bonds"
Series 9, "1972 Fire Department Equipment
Bonds"
Series 10, "1972 Auditorium and Convention Hall
Improvement Bonds" , and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council to
sell at this time $1, 200, 000 of the aggregate amount of
$5, 375, 000 authorized for Series 4, "1972 Park Improvement
Bonds" , which initial offering shall hereafter be identified
as Series 4A, "1972 Park Improvement Bonds" ; and
WHEREAS, Section 3 of Resolutions Nos. 13519 and
13574 contained the provision that the bonds shall be callable
for redemption as shall be hereafter determined by Resolution to
be adopted by the City Council,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Bonds of the following
Series :
Series 7, "Civic Center Complex Roadways and
Landscaping Bonds 1970" - $1, 500, 000
Series 4A, "1972 Park Improvement Bonds" $1, 200, 000
Series 6, "1972 Street and Bridge Improvement
Bonds" $ 1, 160, 000
Series 7 "1972 Water Improvement Bonds" $ 935, 000
Series 9 " 1972 Fire Department Equipment Bonds"
280, 000
Series 10 " 1972 Auditorium and Convention
Hall improvement Bonds : 400, 000
shall provide for the redemption thereof as follows :
The bonds maturing in the years 1973 to 1982, both

inclusive, shall not be redeemable prior to their respective
dates of maturity. Bonds maturing in the years 1983 to 1992,
both inclusive, shall be redeemable prior to their respective
stated dates of maturity, at the option of the City of Miami
Beach, in whole or in part, but in inverse order of maturi-
ties and by lot within maturities, if less than all on
February 1, 1982, or on any interest payment date thereafter,
at the price of par and accrued interest, plus the following
premiums, expressed in percentages of the par value thereof,
if redeemed in the following years : Three per centum (3%)
in the years 1983-1985, both inclusive; two per centum (2%)
in the years 1986-1989, both inclusive; and one per centum
(1%) in the years 1990-1992, both inclusive.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of August, 1972 .
