13691 4 RESOLUTION NO. 13691 WHEREAS, on December 14, 1971, one EDWARD GRANT was raking a flower bed when he was struck and injured by a golf ball, and WHEREAS, said employee was examined or treated by Drs . Grossman and Nadler, and WHEREAS, he suffered a permanent partial disabil- ity of his body as whole, and WHEREAS, it is felt by the Legal Department that it is in the best interest of the City to enter into a settlement under the provisions of FSS 440. 20 (10) , as amended, 1967 , such settlement to be in the total amount of $2,425.00. $1,866.00 of this amount for the permanent partial disability to his body as a whole and all past, pres- ent or future compensation and medical benefits due Mr. Grant. A reasonable attorney' s fee of $559.00 for the balance, and WHEREAS, the Order of the Judge of Industrial Claims approving such settlement stipulation will not be subject to modification or review, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City to enter into a final settlement stipulation as herein before set forth, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Legal Department be authorized to enter into final settlement stipulation with Edward Grant and his attorney, and if said settlement is approved by a Judge of Industrial Claims, the Mayor, City Clerk-Finance Director and the City Attorney be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to comply with the Order of the Judge approving said stipulation.
