13692 RESOLUTION NO. 13692
WHEREAS , the Honorable A. Jay Cristol, an Attorney
at Law, and a resident of the City of Miami Beach, has
brought to the attention of the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach at its regular and duly convened meeting held
on July 19, 1972 , his contention that the Dade County Tax
Assessor ' s office is not giving the overdevelopment deprecia-
tion credit provided on Page 22 of the Tax Assessor' s Manual
to real property in the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS, it is the contention and assertion of the
said A. Jay Cristol that such failure, if such be the fact,
results in inequality and discrimination against the owners
of real property in the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS, said A. Jay Cristol has requested the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach to bring this matter to
the attention of the Tax Assessor of Dade County, Florida,
with a request that such remedial action as necessary shall
be taken forthwith by the said Tax Assessor so as to accord
equality and uniformity of treatment to the owners of real
property situate in the City of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it duly resolved by the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that this con-
tention of the said A. Jay Cristol be and the same is hereby
formally brought to the attention of the Honorable Ray Goode,
Dade County Manager, and that he be requested to examine into
and determine whether the said contention of the said A. Jay
Cristol is well-founded, and if he does so determine, that
immediate remedial action be taken to accord the owners of
real property in the City of Miami Beach the equality of treat-
ment to which they are entitled under law and that the said
Ray Goode, Dade County Manager, be respectfully requested to

transmit a copy of his findings and recommendations to the
City of Miami Beach.
