13693 RESOLUTION NO. 13693
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida desires
to enter into a Lease Agreement with the Arrangements Com-
mittee for the 1972 Republican National Convention, a Com-
mittee of the Republican National Committee, for the holding
of the 1972 Republican National Convention in the City of
Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, said Lease Agreement sets forth the terms
and conditions on which the Municipal Auditorium and Conven-
tion Hall, and certain portions of the Municipal Building,
and related facilities and equipment will be used for said
1972 Republican National Convention, and the City Council
being familiar with said terms and provisions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the
best interests of the City and its inhabitants that said
Lease Agreement be entered into,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk and Finance Director be and they are here-
by authorized and directed to execute and deliver said Lease
Agreement for and in the name of the City of Miami Beach,
and that the appropriate financial officers of the City be
and they are hereby authorized to make the various and
several disbursements required to be made thereunder out of
funds available for said purposes.
