A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING SYMPATHY AND CONDOL-
ENCES TO THE FAMILY OF SAM GOLDSTEIN.
WHEREAS, members of the City Council solemnly bear witness
to the Almighty Father, Lord God of the Universe, in his omniscience
and infinite wisdom, who saw fit to pluck from the midst of his
friends and community, the person of SAM GOLDSTEIN, a citizen of
great worth, beloved by the community which he so dedicated himself
to serve; and
WHEREAS, in the passing of SAM GOLDSTEIN, the entire City
of Miami Beach suffers the loss of a citizen of inestimable worth to
the Community whose services were invaluable to the promotion of the
public welfare ; and
WHEREAS, the spirit of altruism and civic mindedness exuded
by the said SAM GOLDSTEIN has been a guiding lamp for those persons
serving on the Personnel Board, and as a member of said committee ,
the aforementioned SAM GOLDSTEIN, served with honor and distinction
the citizens of his community; and
WHEREAS, the purity of his dedication to this City and the
community as a whole is indeed exemplary in this period of alienation
from and disinterest in municipal government by so many of our citi-
zens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it pays tribute to the great
achievements made by the said SAM GOLDSTEIN and exhorts all citizens
of the City of Miami Beach to emulate the public spirit and concern
for the general welfare exhibited by the late SAM GOLDSTEIN.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that this testimonial of respect to SAM
GOLDSTEIN be furnished to his bereaved family with our tender pro-
found sympathy in their afflictions .
