A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRECIA- •
TION FROM THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ITS CITIZENS AND
RESIDENTS , TO THE OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI FIRE DEPARTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, for itself, its individual members, and on behalf
of all the citizens and residents of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, that the officers and members of the CITY OF MIAMI FIRE
DEPARTMENT who participated in the emergency arising out of the
conflagration of the Concord Cafeteria, 1921 Collins Avenue; Miami
Beach, on February 2, 1973, be and they are hereby personally and
officially praised and commended for the highly exemplary manner
in which they performed their duties and responsibilities . The
residents and the citizens of the City of Miami Beach are and will
continue to be profoundly grateful and appreciative for the aid,
assistance and cooperation afforded by the Fire Department of our
sister community, the CITY OF MIAMI, and do hereby pledge their
readiness and willingness to accord equal aid, assistance and
cooperation to our sister community should the occasion or
circumstances so arise. The preparedness, and immediate response
made by the CITY OF MIAMI FIRE DEPARTMENT to the emergency need
of this community is worthy of the highest possible praise and
commendation .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread
upon the minutes of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, and that authenticated copies thereof be presented to
the officers and members of the CITY OF MIAMI FIRE DEPARTMENT and
for distribution to all interested personnel.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of February 1973 .
