A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRE-
CIATION FROM 'IH E CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ITS CITI-
ZENS AND RESIDENTS TO THE ADMINISTRATION,
STAFF AND PERSONNEL OF ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, for itself, its individual members, and
on behalf of all of the citizens and residents of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that the administration, staff and all
personnel of ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL be and they are hereby per-
sonally and officially praised and commended for the exemplary
manner in which they and each of them rendered swift competent
medical aid to those unfortunate persons injured in the con- -
flagration at the Concord Cafeteria, 1921 Collins Avenue, Miami
Beach, Florida, on February 2, 1973. The residents and the
citizens of the City of Miami Beach are, and will continue to
be profoundly grateful and appreciative for the highly pro-
fessional, yet compassionate and sympathetic manner in which
each member of the administration, staff and all personnel per-
formed his or her duties, under the most difficult, trying and
emergency circumstances. The preparedness and readiness which
the administration, the staff, and all personnel of ST. FRANCIS
HOSPITAL manifested in those trying hours is meritorious of the
highest possible praise and approbation which this community
can bestow upon ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL and its administration,
and evidences the total and complete preparedness with which
this exemplary institution is prepared to meet any emergency
affecting the people of this community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread
upon the minutes of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, and that authenticated copies thereof be presented to
the administration and staff of ST. FRANCIS HOSPITAL and for
distribution to all interested personnel.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of February, 1973.
