RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARING ON
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1891, TO PROVIDE FOR VISUAL BARRIERS
FOR SWIMMING POOLS .
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach Planning Commission
has duly recommended to the City Council, following Public Hearing,
that Ordinance No. 1891, being the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
of the City of Miami Beach, be amended so as to provide for visual
barriers for swimming pools, said amendment to be numbered and to
read as follows :
"8-1 B .6 . 1. VISUAL BARRIERS FOR SWIMMING POOLS -
Accessory swimming pools when located
in the front or side yard, facing a
public street, shall be screened from
public view as follows :
1. Opaque wall or fence not less than
five (5) or more than six (6) ft.
in height.
2 . Opaque dense hedge not less than
five (5) or more than six (6) ft.
in height. "
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that a public hearing be and the same
is hereby called to be held before the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, beginning at the hour of 2 :30 p.m. or as
soon thereafter as possible on the 6th day of June 1973, in the
Council Chambers, Cypress Room, Convention Hall, Miami Beach, Dade
County, Florida, and that due and appropriate notice be given by
the City Clerk to all interested parties .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 11th day of April 1973 .
