A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 1982,
BETWEEN THE SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING
CONSORTIUM, AND THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FOR THE
PERFORMANCE OF THE MIAMI BEACH PROJECT EN-VEST.
WHEREAS, The City of Miami Beach desires to implement and operate the
Miami Beach Project En-Vest under the Fiscal 1983 program sponsored by the South Florida
Employment and Training Consortium (SFETC) in the amount of two hundred eighty-three
thousand ($283,000.00) dollars, to be paid from Federal funds received for that purpose, said
program to continue for 12 months, commencing October 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Consortium has approved and agreed to said program in concept,
all as evidenced by written agreement, the terms and provisions of which are familiar to the City
Commission, and are approved by the City Attorney and recommended by the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interest of the City
of Miami Beach, its citizens and residents, to enter into said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to execute and deliver said agreement for and in the name of the City of Miami
Beach, and further, that he is authorized to make necessary narrative adjustments and/or
technical corrections which may be required by the SFETC which do not significantly affect the
budget or the intent of said program.
