A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
THE SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND
TRAINING CONSORTIUM TO PROVIDE
FUNDING FOR AN OFFICE OF
INTERGOVERNMENTAL LIAISON AND
COORDINATION; RETROACTIVE TO OCTOBER
1, 1982.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, by its Resolution #78-15792,
adopted December 6, 1978, entered into a Consortium Agreement with the
governments of Dade and Monroe Counties, and the Cities of Miami and Hialeah,
and designating the City Manager as official representative to said Consortium;
and
WHEREAS, said Resolution is in full force and effect; and
WHEREAS, said Consortium at its September 13, 1982 meeting,
approved funding for its member jurisdictions to continue to support
Intergovernmental Coordination and Liaison staffs, effective October 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the execution of a Professional Service Agreement with
said Consortium is recommended by the City Manager, and said agreement has
been approved by the City Attorney as to legal form and sufficiency.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver said Agreement, a
copy of which is attached hereto, for and in the name of the City of Miami Beach.
