Subject: Replacement of the HVAC System %t the North Beach Senior Center Facility
"Unidad Building"
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to inform the Mayor and City Commission
that the replacement and repair of the HVAC system at the North Beach Senior Center Facility,
located at 7251 Collins Avenue is scheduled to begin on February 13, 2017.
The replacement and repair of the HVAC system components will address deficiencies
identified following the completion of the North Beach Senior Center Project. The work will take
approximately eight (8) weeks and will be completed the week of April 4, 2017.
Once construction activities at the North Beach Senior Center commence, the facility will not be
air conditioned and programming will be disrupted. To minimize disruption, classes typically held
at the North Beach Senior Center will be relocated temporarily to the North Shore Park Youth
Center.
A Construction Advisory is being issued and the stakeholders will be informed of the closures to
the facility and alternate locations for the programming of the North Beach Senior Center.
