SUBJECT: Central Bayshore South Neighborho d Improvement Project Update
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to inform the Mayor and Commission that
the Office of Capital Improvement Projects will commence construction on the Central
Bayshore South Project. The project limits consist of a portion of the Central Bayshore
neighborhood bounded on the north by 34th Street; on the east by Pine Tree Drive; on
the south by Dade Boulevard; and on the west by the Miami Beach Golf Course. The
project scope consists of:
• Water main construction
• Roadway reconstruction and streetscape improvements
• Stormwater system improvements including a new pump station and
interconnection/retrofit of an existing pump station
• Bicycle lane improvements
• Installation of new street lights
The project has been in the design phase since July 2016. The design-builder will begin
mobilizing this week in order to break ground on the water main the week of February
13, 2017.
A community meeting was held on December 8, 2016 and a neighborhood database
has been established. The following attached advisory will be distributed throughout the
neighborhood via email and door to door distribution.

Advisory Week of February 6, 2017
Overview
The City of Miami Beach Office of Capital Improvement
Projects (CIP) and Ric-Man International Inc. (Design/Build
Firm) began the design of The Central Bayshore South
Neighborhood Improvements Project in June 2016. The
project is now anticipated to commence construction the
week of February 13, 2017. This project will provide many
benefits to residents of this area.
Work Zone Information
On Wednesday, February 8, 2017, the contractor will
begin mobilizing construction equipment and staging
materials along Prairie Avenue by Miami Beach High
School. This is in preparation for the new water main and
services installation along Prairie Ave from Dade
Boulevard to 34 Street scheduled to begin the week of
February 13.
The field crews have been performing soft digs around the
neighborhood in order to locate utilities and will continue
to do so.
Work hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through
Friday. Crews will be taking an hour break from 2p.m. to
3 p.m. daily in order to facilitate student pick up at Miami
Beach High School. Extended work hours are subject to
City approval and homeowner association notification.
