The following resolution was offered by Councilman Dickey , seconded by Councilman ...Lnninpy_, and upon a vote of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, was duly adopted this 2nd day of March, 1921. BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Miami 4 Beach, Florida, that Honorable Ben C. Willard, our representative in the next Legislature of the State of Florida, be respectfully requested and urged to have the following inserted by amendment into the Charter of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, at the coming session of the Legislature of this State. " Section 6r- : The City of Miami Beach, Florida, shall not be annexed to,nor consolidated with, affir other incorporated City or Town, nor shall the territorial limits of any City or Town be extended so as to embrace or include all or any part of the territory embraced within the territorial limits of the municipality of Miami Beach, Florida, regardless of whether the population of any such City or Town 1401 v desiring such annexation or the extension of its territory limits be more or less than 10,000, without the consent of a two-thirds majority of the registered voters of said City of Miami Beach, actually voting at an election held in said City of Miami Beach in the form and manner provided by Section 1919 of the Revis- ed General Statutes of Florida." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a certified copy of this Resolution and request be transmitted to Honorable Ben C. Willard for the purpose herein set forth.
