BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of t,iiami Beach,
L;'lorida, that the following bids were received and opened by the
clerk of the city of Liami .each, Florida, for the bonds indicated
in the bid hereinafter copied.
(. B. Sawyer b c Company bid 447 ,800.00 and accrued interest to
date of delivery fair ; 50,000.00 of Vater Department Bonds.
G. B. Sawyer & Company bid ; 23,900.00 and accrued interest to
date of delivery for 425,000.00 of .sire Department .Bonds.
Sidney Spitzer Company bid . 72,507.50 and accrued interest
to date of delivery for 475,000.00 of fire and ,dater Department •
Bonds.
The Bank of Bay Biscayne bid 446,554.00 and accrued interest
to date of delivery for 450,000.00 of ';later Department Bonds.
The Bank of Bay Biscayne bid ; 24, 275.25 and accrued interest
to date of delivery for 125,000 .00 of fire Department _ponds.
The Southern 3ank & Trust Company bid g,4,250.00 and accrued
interest to date of delivery for _ 25,000.00 of Fire Department
Bonds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of The Bank of Bay Biscayne,
which is in the words and figures following, be and the same is
hereby determined to be the highest and best bid received for the
bonds indicated; the following being a copy of the bid:

Dear Sir:
For • 50,000.00 of 6 per cent ';Water onds of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, dated January 1, 1921 , described
in the attached notice of sale which is hereby made a part
of this bid, we will pay 448 ,554.00.
For 025,000.00 of 6 per cent fire Department Building
and E euipment Bonds of the City of Miami beach, Florida.,
dated. January 1, lt21, described in the attached notice of
sale , which is hereby made a part of this bid, we will pay
x,24, 275. 25.
In addition to the foregoing bid we will pay accrued
interest to date of delivery and will accept delivery at
the United States Mort•-age and Trust Company in New York
City.
We enclose herewith certified check for 41500.00, be-
ing 2 per cent of the parvalue of the bonds for which bid
is made , payable to the order of the Clerk of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, Jhich check is to be returned to us if
this bid is not accepted, otherwise to be deposited by
said City Clerk, and when the bonds are delivered and paid
for under the terms of this bid, to be considered as an ad-
vanced part payment therefor , or, to be retained as and for
liquidated damages incase we fail to take up and pay for
said bonds.
