DA, CALLING AN EL CTION TO VOTE
UPON THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BA:'.Cri, FLORIDA
WEER AS, the City Council of the City of Miami i Beach,
?lorida deems it advisable to issue bonds of said City in the
amounts and for the municipal purposes set forth in the election
notice provided by this resolution.

Miami Beach, Florida: .
Section 1: That subject to the authorizatio4 by the duly regis-
tered and nuatified voters or electors of said City participating
in an election her inafter called and which shall be held in the
° City Hall of said City on the 9th day of April, A. D. , 1923, the
negotiable coupon bonds of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, shall
be issued in the amounts , and for the several purposesset forth
in the election notice provided by this resolution.

Section 2: That -a special election is herby called anddirected
to be held at the City Hall in the City of Miami Beach, r'lorida,
from 6:00 o' clock A. M. until sundown on the 9th day of April,
A. D. , 1923, for the purpose of submitting to a vote of 'the duly
registered and qualified voters of said City the six separate
i
auestions as to whether said six bond issues respectively shall
:' be authorized, which six auestions are set forth in the election
notice provided by this resolution.
Section 3: That the City Clerk, who is also aunervisor of Regis-
tration, open the registration books of said City for said elec-
tion from 10:00 o' clo'ci A. M. until 5:00 o' clock P. M. as to Sun-
day excepted, from this date until March 30th, A. D. , 1923 for
the purpose of registering those persons who are ramlified to re-
gister for such election.
Section 4: That Jeremiah Reid, John L. Crist , and J. Arthur Pan-
coast be , and they are hereby appointed inspectors, and John J.
Hayes is hereby aprointed Clerk for the purpose of holding and
conducting said election at the tire and place aforesaid, which
names the city Clerk shall certify to the Mayor.
Section 5 : that said inspectors and Clerk. certify the result of
said election to said City Council within five ( 5 ) days after the
holding of said election.
Section 6 : That Thirty ( 30) days notice of said election be given
by the Mayor of said city- by posting the notice hereinafter —pro-
vided for once each week for Thirty (30) days in three conspicuous
places in said city of Miami Beach , to wit: at the City Hall; at
the Post Office, and at Hardie' s Casino , and by publishing the
same once each week for thirty ( 30 ) days in the"Miami Metropolis;
a newspaper published in the City of Miami.

Section 7: That said notice of election shall be in substantially
the following form:

"Notice is hereby given that an election has
been called by the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, and will be held at the City Hall in
said City on the 9th day of April, A. D. , 1923 at
wh_ch there will be submitted to the duly registered.

tions:
04( a) Shall the City of Miami Beach, Florida, issue

negotiable coupon bonds in the sum of 1100 ,000.00 for
the purose of extending and developing its water works
' system?
(b) Shall the City of Idami Beach, .Florida issue
negotiable coupon bonds in the sum of 120,000.00 for the
purpose of improving its streets and avenues by construct-
ing and erecting permanent electric light poles and equip-
ping the same with permanent ornamental electric lamps?
( c ) Shall the City of Idia.mi _Beach, 21orida, issue
negotiable coupon bonds in the sum of 17 ,000.00 for the •
purpose of erecting a bridge over the water way between
the mainland and Belie Isle within the said Citfl
( d) Shall the City of Miami Beach, Elorida issue ne-
gotiable coupon bonds in the sum of 165,000.00 for the
purpose of paying the City' s share of the cost of construct-
ing sanitary sewers?
(e) Shall the City of Miami Be ch, 21orida issue ne-
gotiable coupon bonds in the sum of $18 ,000.00 for the
purpose of paying the City' s share of constructinrr storm
sewers?
(f) Shall the City of Miami Beach, 21orida issue ne-
gotiable coupon bonds in the sum of 110 ,000.03 for the
purpose of paving its streets?
Inspectors and a Clerk have been appointed to cen-
t
duct said election at said time and place. .
The Registration Books of said City will be open
from 10:00 o' clock A. U. until 5:00 P. M. , Sunday excepted,
from this date until March 30th, A. D. , 1923, for thepur-
ose of the registratio . of persons qualified to register.

Section 8 ; That the form of ballot to be used at said election
shall be in substantially the following form:

be inserted each of the propositions set forth in the
election notice contained and provided for in this reso-

Section 9: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon
its passage and adoption.
