su3JECT: Dog Park Improvements at South Pointe Park
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission that the Parks and Recreation
Department will be temporarily closing the off -leash dog park at South Pointe Park to perform turf
improvements. During the closure, the dog park will be temporarily relocated to the open field
between the new fountains and Smith & Wollensky. The project shall consist of sod removal,
sujface grading and the installation of new sod, which will take approximately one week. The
neVvly sodded areas will remain closed for an additional three to four weeks, in order to allow
proper rooting and establishment. Please note that during the establishment period, the sod may
ter nporarily brown in some areas.
The project is expected to commence on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, and should be completed
by Wednesday, September 13, 2017, weather permitting.
