SUBJECT: Brittany Bay Park Parking Lot Temporary Closure
The purpose of this LTC is to inform the Mayor and City Commission that the parking lot
at the Brittany Bay Park and the West side of the park will be closed from August 10 to
October 30, 2017.
As part of the contract for continuing services on as needed basis, for the construction of
seawalls, Shoreline Foundation, Inc., will be constructing a new seawall at this location.
In addition to the seawall, Shoreline Foundation, Inc. will also be constructing a seat wall
as part of the living shoreline proposed for the Brittany Bay Park.
The parking lot at the North end of the park will be used for deliveries, staging and
employee parking while the West end will be fenced in as part of the construction site.
Due to the contractor's use of the entire parking lot, for safety reasons, there would be
no public access to the parking lot throughout the duration of the project.
Work hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and, extended hours are subject to City
approval. The above work schedules are contingent on weather and may change due to
unforeseen circumstances.
The Public Works Department is coordinating with Parks Department for the necessary
notifications.
