Ordinance 807 ORDINANCE NO. 807
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ALL PERSONS FROM FISHING
FROM AND LOITERING UPON THE BRIDGE WHICH LIES BE-
TWEEN AND CONNECTS STAR ISLAND, AN ISLAND IN BIS-
CAYNE BAY, AND THE COUNTY CAUSEWAY, AND PRESCRIBING
THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. It is HEREBY declared to be unlawful for any person to
engage in fishing from the bridge which lies between
and connects Star Island, an Island in Biscayne Bay, a plat of which
Island is recorded in Plat Book 5, at Page 52, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida, and the County Causeway between Northeast
Thirteenth Street in Miami, Florida, and Fifth Street in Miami Beach.
SECTION 2. It is FURTHER declared to be unlawful for any person to
loiter upon the bridge described in the next preceding
Section hereof.
SECTION 3. Any Person violating any of the provisions of this ordi-
nance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by
imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by fine not to exceed Five
Hundred ($500.00) Dollars, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 4. Should any Section, Clause, or Provision of this Ordi-
nance be declared, by a Court of competent jurisdiction,
to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of any other
part of this ordinance.
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption pursuant to law.

I, C. W. TOMLINSON, City Clerk in and for the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, do hereby certify that Ordinance No. 807, entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ALL PERSONS FROM FISHING AND LOITERING
UPON TETE BRIDGE WHICH LIES BETWEEN AND CONNECTS STAR ISLAND, AN
ISLAND IN BISCAYNE BAY, AND THF COUNTY CAUSEWAY, AND PRESCRIBING
THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE", having been passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
has been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, one of which was at the door of the City Hall
in said City on the 21st day of May, A. D. 1947, and that said
Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in
accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the City
of Miami Beach.
