Ordinance 913 ORDINANCE NO. 913
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE RESALE OR
OFFER FOR RESALE OF TICKETS OR ADMISSIONS
TO PUBLIC EXHIBITIONS, GAMES, CONTESTS
OR PERFORMANCES HELD IN PUBLICLY OWNED
PLACES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
association or corporation to re-sell or
offer for re-sale, within the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
any ticket, token, or other evidence of the right of
admission or entry to any place or places of amusement or
entertainment, where public exhibitions, games, contests
or performances of any kind are given, held or conducted,
or are to be given, held or conducted, which said place
or places is or are owned by the City of Miami Beach, or
any other municipal, county or state body or agency, at
a price in excess of the price printed or otherwise appear-
ing on the face of such ticket, token or other evidence
of the right of admission or entry.
SECTION 2: Any person violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be
punished by a fine of not more than Five Hundred ($500.00)
Dollars, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period
not exceeding Thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and
imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION_1: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and posting as required by
law.

No. 913, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE RESALE
OR OFFER FOR RESALE OF TICKETS OR ADMISSIONS TO PUBLIC
EXHIBITIONS, GAMES, CONTESTS OR PERFORMANCES HELD IN
PUBLICLY OWNED PLACES", having been passed and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has
been posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City
of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the City
Hall in said City on the 1st day of February, A. D. 1950,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of
at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements
of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, on this the 2nd day of March, A. D. 1.950.
