COMMONLY KNO=TN AS THE "ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA" .

S CT ION 1: That Ordinance No. 289 of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, be and the same.. is hereby amended by
adding thereto, immediately after Section 5 thereof,
an additional section to be known as Section j', and to read
as follows:
" 3LI'CTISIILIL. USE REGULATIONS.
"REE" Multiple-gamily District.
In the "REE" Iultinle-Family District no
building or land shall be used and no building
shall be hereafter erected, constructed, re-
constructed, or structurally altered, which is
designed, arranged or intended to be used for
any Purpose unless otherwise provided for in
this ordinance except for one or more of the
following uses:
1. Any use permitted in the "RE" Multip,leLFamily
District.
2 . Multiple-level Automobile Parking Garages,
only upon aunroval and permit b`r the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
after a public hearing at which due con-
sideration shall be given to the effect upon
traffic of the proposed use and then only
if the construction and use of said parking
garage shall be subject to the following
conditions and restrictions:
(a) That the building shall be fully enclosed
and shall conform in outward appearance to
that of other buildings in :he area;
(b) That all service facilities shall be
so arranged as not - o be visible from the
street;
(c) That no exterior sign other than an
identification sign shall be permitted, the
location, design and size of which shall be
approved by the City Council;
(d) That the services rendered shall be res-
tricted to the parking, washing and greasing
of cars, and the supplying of gasoline, oil,
water and air to such vehicles. "
SECTION 2: That Ordinance No. 289 of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, and the maps attached there-4p and made a
part thereof, be and the same are hereby amended
so as to exclude from "RE" Multiple-Family District and to
include in "REE" Multiple-Family District, referred to in Section
1 hereof, those certain parcels of land situate, lying and being
in Miami Beach, Florida, described as follows, to-wit:

All of Blocks 1, 2, 27, 28, 29 and 30 in

FISHER'S FIRST SUBDIVISION of Alton Beach,
according to the Plat thereof, recorded in
Plat Book 2, at nage 77, of the Publt Records
of Dade County, Florida;
AND ALSO
All of Blocks "A" , "13" "C" , "D", 2 ,^1'd that
part of Block , lying East of Plm Avenue
(Now Liberty Avenue) ; All of that block
marked "City Park" lying East of Collins
Avenue and between Park Avenue (now 21st
Street) and Ocean Avenue (now 22nd Street) ;
the >easterly 300 feet of that block marked "City
Park" lying west of Collins Avenue and between
Park Avenue (now 21st Street) and Ocean Avenue
(now 22nd Street) ; All of that block lying
east of Collins Avenue and between Ocean Avenue
(now 22nd Street) and 'Atlantic Avenue (now 23rd
Street) ; All of that block lying north of
Atlantic Avenue (now 23rd Street) and south of
Hotel Place (now 24th Street) and east of Collins
Avenue; All. of Blocks 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,
13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18,`19, 20, 21, 22, 23 , 24,
25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and all of that
circular tract, having a radius of 50 feet, lying
between Blocks 8 and 11, all being in the Ocean
Front Property of the 3 Rami Beach Improvement
Company, according to the amended map thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 5, at pages 7 and 8, of
the Public Records of Dade County, Florida;
AT) ALSO
Lot 21-0 to Lot 53, inclusive, Block 1, and all
of Blocks 6 and 7 of SECOND OCEAN FROKT SUBDIVISION ,
according to the Amended Plat thereof, recorded
in Plat Book 28, at page 28, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida;
AND ALSO
All of Blocks "B" and "C" of ATLANTIC HEIGHTS,
according to the corrected plat thereof, recorded
in Plat Book 9, at pac,.e 14, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida.
SECTION 3 : That this ordinance shall go into effect immediately
uaon its passage and posting as required by law.

No. 973, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
299 OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, COMMONLY KNOWN
AS THE 'ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA" , having been passed And adopted by the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been
posted by me in three conspicuous places in the City of
Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of the City Hall
in said City on the 17th day of May, A. D. 1951, and that
said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the
City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
