Ordinance 1033ORDINANCE NO. 1033 AN ORDINANCE RESTRICTING THE DIS- TRIBUTION OF HANDBILLS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That Chapter 22 of "The Code of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, 1950" be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto, at the end thereof, addi- tional sections to read as follows: "Sec. 22.91. The term "Handbill" as used in this chapter means any handbill, dodger, circular, folder, booklet, letter, card, pamphlet, sheet, poster, sticker, banner, notice or other written, printed, or painted matter circulated to attract the attention of the public, whether commercial or non-commercial. Sec. 22.92. It shall be unlawful for any person to distribute or place any handbill or hand- bills upon the premises of another if requested orally or in writing not to do so by the owner or manager of such premises or if forbidden to do so by an appropriate Sign posted in a conspicuous place on such premises. Sec. 22.93. It shall be unlawful for any person to dis- tribute or place any handbill or handbills on the premises of another in such a manner as to permit such handbill or handbills to be scattered on or about such premises or so as to create an unsightly appearance on or about such premises. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall go into effect immediately upon its passage and posted as required by law. 1952. D. 1952, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
