AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 789 OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL CLASSIFICA-
TIONS OF POSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SER-
VICE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION THEREFOR, PUR-
SUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERV-
ICE ACT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRA-
TION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND REPEALING ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH" .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That that portion of Section 1 of Ordi-
nance No . 789 of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, reading as follows :
"16 . LIFE GUARD OPERATIONS

is hereby amended by adding thereto, at the end thereof, the
following:
"Not withstanding the above provisions,
the maximum compensation for a Life Guard after
his third year of service shall be $308.00 per
month while on duty at a municipal swimming pool . "
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are
hereby repealed .
SECTION 3 : This ordinance shall go into effect imme-
diately upon its passage and posting , as
required by law.

OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL
CLASSIFICATIONS OF POSITIONS IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING COMPENSATION
THEREFOR, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE
ACT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS ORDINANCE
AND REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", having been
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the
door of the City Hall in said City on the 16th day of June,
195 +, and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period
of at least thirty days in accordance with the requirements
of the City Charter of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, on
this the 21st day of July, A. D. 1954 .
