Ordinance 1352 ORDINANCE NO. 1352
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING BY REFERENCE CHAPTER 186, FLORIDA STATUTES
1957; WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SECTIONS 186.75,
186.76, AND 186.0193 THEREOF, AS THE "TRAFFIC
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA";
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH,
AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE SAME AS AN
EMERGENCY ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 186, Florida Statutes, 1957, otherwise
known as the "Florida Model Traffic Ordinance", be
and the same is hereby adopted by reference, with the exception of
Sections 186.75, 186.76, and 186.0193 thereof, as the "Traffic
Ordinance of the City of Miami Beach,, Florida".
SECTION 2. That unless another penalty is provided by law, every
person convicted of a violation of this ordinance shall
be punished by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00)
or by imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days, or by both such
fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 3. That the respective schedules on file in the office of
the City Traffic Safety Officer be and the same are
hereby adopted as the schedules set forth in Section 186.0194 of said
Chapter 186, Florida Statutes, 1957.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. The health and welfare of the City being in peril, the
three readings of this ordinance shall be had in one
session and the City Council finding that this ordinance is necessary
for the immediate protection of its citizens, it shall therefore go
into effect immediately upon its passage.

having been passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, has been posted by me in three conspicuous
places in the City of Miami Beach, one of which was at the door of
the City Hall in said City on the 1st day of July, 1959,
and that said Ordinance remained posted for a period of at least
thirty days in accordance with the requirements of the City Charter
of the said City of Miami Beach.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, on
this the 19th day of August, 1959.
